Korean diplomat gave a lecture to our students

Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Azerbaijan, Deputy Head of the Diplomatic Mission Kim Changsoo gave a lecture on “Korea-Azerbaijan Relations – Current Status and Prospects” for students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, International Relations and Economics of Baku State University (BSU).
Kim Changsoo introduced the students to the current state of Azerbaijan-Korea relations. He said that there are successful political, economic and trade relations between the two countries. Azerbaijan is Korea’s largest and most important economic and trade partner in the South Caucasus. Korea is one of the largest countries investing foreign direct investment in the non-oil sector of Azerbaijan. Mutual visits of the heads of state played an important role in raising our relations to this level. A number of important agreements were signed during these visits.
Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Aydan Khandan, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations and Economics Lachin Abishov, and Head of the Department of Far Eastern Languages and Literature Ogtay Jalilbeyli noted in their speeches that Azerbaijan-Korea relations are also developing successfully in the field of science and education, and emphasized that such lectures are an important means of informing students more about friendly Korea.
At the end, the students who asked the most interesting questions were presented with gifts by the embassy.
